In a Dec. 18 report, police pulled over a driver Nov. 27 for running a stop sign and smelled the odor of marijuana inside the car during the stop. The driver said the odor was “CBD flower” and was legal. Having no way to test the substance for THC levels, the officer did not cite the driver for drug possession, but did confiscate a metal container the substance was found inside. The driver was cited for the stop sign violation.

Traffic crash, Bellus Road

A driver traveling westbound on Bellus Road drove off the road and into a ditch while trying to avoid hitting a deer at 1:01 a.m. Nov. 27. There were no injuries reported or any further information available at the time of the report.
