Right after the Tournament of Roses, America’s New Year celebration, hundreds of flower industry professionals, florists, industry suppliers and support organization staff will be gathering in Pasadena for the 2020 Team Flower Conference, Friday to Sunday, January 3 to 5, at Westin Pasadena and at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino.
This third annual industry event is where passionate floral professionals from around the world gather together to learn, grow, encourage, and build bridges between sectors of the industry and their communities.
The event is ideal for florists of all levels – shop, studio, home-based, everyday and wedding floral specialists – farmer-florists, industry suppliers, support associations and societies, floral-related art and design businesses, as well as flower enthusiasts, authors and the media.
The conference will include various subjects across design, business, and flower farming, including floral installations, centerpiece and bouquet design, marketing and testimonials, and growing dahlias and roses.
Groups attending the conference will experience team-building and memory-making in a lighthearted, accepting, all-experience-levels-welcome environment; quality relationship-building with other kind floral pros from across the globe; and access to multiple master-led small group sessions that allow for topical Q&A in a more intimate setting. Everything is included in the Team Flower Conference ticket, the organizers said.
Business leaders will experience the ability to network with other business owners who manage a successful staff and flower business, as well as long-term dividends from investing in their employees’ education and development, according to the organizers.
Team Flower, the group behind the conference, is a membership community of over 2,000 members from across the 50 states and over 30 countries across the globe. Team Flower is made up of industry professionals of all experience levels and backgrounds.
Delegates arriving early will have a chance to see the Rose Parade up close, and visit surrounding events, including the Showcase of Floats on January 1 and 2.
Day 1 of the Team Flower Conference opens at 10 a.m. at the Huntington Botanical Gardens, specifically at the Rose Hills Foundation Garden Court, and Day 2 and 3 will be at the Westin Pasadena, which is within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, and retail shopping in Downtown Pasadena. The Westin also offers a complimentary shuttle to the Huntington Gardens.
The event is expected to conclude around 5:15 p.m. Sunday.
